Eischens Yoga

Eischens Yoga is:

•    A unique and integrative style developed by the late Roger Eischens         which has its roots in Iyengar Yoga.  Roger called this style, "High             Energy Yoga" and incorporated ideas from movement theory, applied         kinesiology and Ayurveda as well as Taoist Yoga.

•    Physically accessible to all body types and experience levels

•    Focused on the energetics of poses and their effects rather than on         achieving very complex, body-contorting poses

A typical class consists of:

•    A flowing Eischens Yoga series (including classical and modified             poses)

•    Transformational work (mini-workshops on poses)

•    Breathing practices and relaxation/meditation

Transformational work is…

•    Students giving each other touch feedback in small groups to refine         poses and experience an immediate change in energy flow.

•    The most powerful and energizing work of Eischens Yoga

Yoga helps…

•    Increase strength, flexibility, energy

•    Improve alignment, balance, and ability to cope with stress

•    Decrease muscle tension and pain

•    Bring greater results from relaxation and meditative practices
